#happy birthday

So I had a bundle of unopened Studio Calico Card Kits!.  Sound familiar?  I discovered this fab patterned paper in the May 2015 Carolina Moon Card Kit contents.

Added some washi and cut a black foam base for the phone using the MFT Dienamics smart phone (which was also unopened)!!! and matching stamp set called Friend Request.  Kept it very clean and simple!

Happy Birthday!

Supplies:  Studio Calico - Valley High Card Kit
Wood veneer shapes - SC, machine stitching, glossy accents
 and sequins.

Another card created with the Valley High Card Kit.

I think this would be perfect for a teen.  I added machine stitching around the edge which held the tag to the cardstock.  I stamped the stamp in black, fussy cut it out and added a layer of glossy accents on top to get a shiny speech bubble.  A light sprinkle of white sequins finishes it off.

Thanks for peeking.  Hope you have a wonderful day.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

This week's challenge on Paperplay is "Happy Birthday!" and we are very kindly sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.  I know I never have enough Birthday cards in my box when needed, so use this opportunity to get creating and maybe win a prize!!!

I used colouring pencils instead of copics on this card for a change!  Used them to put a light wash of colour on the image and added stickles for some fun!
If you are a regular visit to my blog (firstly thank you for stopping by!) and secondly you will know that I am not a gal to use flower embellies very often.  I found these pink prima / anon other in my stash and decided they were perfect paired with the floral pp from Crate Paper.

Happy Birthday to Virginia Lu - she is due to celebrate a birthday v.v. shortly and is having a party celebration right here.  This card is a nod to her wonderful creations using SRM Stickers (she has been on the SRM DT for 2011).  Love what Virginia creates and she is a super nice gal too.  Hugs to you on your birthday Virginia.

This is a real clean and simple card - I teamed a chipboard shape by Crate Paper with some Cosmo Cricket pp and got a fun graphic card.  Sentiment is a sticker by SRM Stickers.

Entering this card into this week's Colour Me Farm Fresh over on The Greeting Farm.  A smattering of other colours in this card - but hopefully I have managed to incorporate enough of the required palette.  Love this girl with attitude - "Charlotte"!

Birthday Card for DH

I just love this image by The Greeting Farm - Oliver&Amelia - my favourite thing.  I had him coloured before I started work on the card and decided to change his hair colour from blond to brown!!! hmmmmmm not sure if I'm happy but it will have to do!!  Would like to spend more time fine tuning the colouring but... time is a racing!
I saw this card by the wonderfully talented Kelly Booth and I knew I had to buy this set!.  I only recently got to ink it up and loved the way another amazing gal - Lucy made this card for her Dad recently.  So I "mish mashed" the two ideas in my head and got the card above!  Added machine stitching in brown on pp from Joy Ride by Cosmo Cricket which I had run through the printer to add the sentiment.  Added it to Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock as the base.

Lots of glossy accents on the fish bowl and hey presto a card for my DS's to give to my DH on his Birthday today!.  Happy Birthday hun.

Hope everyone has a great day and wonderful weekend.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Paperplay - "Pink it up"

This week's challenge on Paperplay is "Pink, pink, pink".  It is very kindly sponsored by Bunny Zoe Crafts.
Supplies: PTI Sentiment and frame, TGF Washi tape in pink,
Prima flowers, bubblewrap stamp by Kaiser craft, glue dots and kraft cardstock.

This is outside my comfort zone because I am not a very "pink" gal... having grown up with three brothers!  and now having two sons!!! no pink in this house! LOL!

I decided to pair my "Pink" with kraft and decided to make a "beat up" type of card..... used the wonderful washi tape that my friend Jane sent me - thank you again Jane.  I also stamped my new bubblewrap stamp across the tape and card - it nearly looks like someone stood on it!.

Then added some beautiful Prima Flowers with pop dots and hey presto... lots of pinkness!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

Happy Happy Birthday

Quick card share - I made this using one of Paula's wonderful digital images.  I cut it out, coloured with copics and added glossy accents to the icing on the cupcake.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I used Spellbinders Labels 8 and scalloped Circles Large to die cut the Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock.  Added various sized gems in pink.

Thanks for peeking and I hope you have a great day.
