Beautiful Birthday Dahlias

I was late with my post for this month's challenge over on Tiffany Doodles and I still feel bad about it.  So, I have another "flower power" card for you using Tiffany's wonderful image - Dahlia w/Oval
I coloured the image twice and added a second "flower" layer raised on pop dots to add dimension.  I also added LOTS! of glossy accents to the bottle which I hope you can see in the first photo.  Sentiment is from PTI.

Thanks so much for peeking and I hope you get a chance to play along with this month's challenge over on Tiffany Doodles - all details hereRemember - Tiffany has lots of flower freebies available on her site too - check them out here Hope you have a great weekend.

Paperplay - "Pink it up"

This week's challenge on Paperplay is "Pink, pink, pink".  It is very kindly sponsored by Bunny Zoe Crafts.
Supplies: PTI Sentiment and frame, TGF Washi tape in pink,
Prima flowers, bubblewrap stamp by Kaiser craft, glue dots and kraft cardstock.

This is outside my comfort zone because I am not a very "pink" gal... having grown up with three brothers!  and now having two sons!!! no pink in this house! LOL!

I decided to pair my "Pink" with kraft and decided to make a "beat up" type of card..... used the wonderful washi tape that my friend Jane sent me - thank you again Jane.  I also stamped my new bubblewrap stamp across the tape and card - it nearly looks like someone stood on it!.

Then added some beautiful Prima Flowers with pop dots and hey presto... lots of pinkness!!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend.

Happy Tuesday

An incredibly quick and easy card to share today.  Made this using pp from a 6x6 mini deck of Earth Love from Cosmo Cricket.  Added machine stitching around the edge and then adhered to the white card blank.  Sentiment from Papertrey Ink and the chipboard is from the Ready-Steady-Chip set by Cosmo Cricket to match the paper range.

It was a three day weekend here in Ireland so today is really a Monday !!! you know, housework and laundry after the weekend!!  Better go do some work, thanks so much for stopping by.

Quick Birthday Card and some sailing shots!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I was on the water for the day.  I was following these guys around trying to get a few shots!.  Some of you will know that two of my passions are photography and sailing - so when I can combine the two, I do!.  I was on the water yesterday but not sailing myself.... just trying to get some good shots of these young sailors testing their mettle against wind and tide.
You can tell that there was plenty of wind! and little sunshine popped out occasionally from behind the clouds whilst the young sailors managed to race 4 races.  And now... onto a card share
Just a quick card share today.  I love trying to leave some white space on these new tall card blanks I bought recently.  I had this pretty dress by Crafttime in my stash and I decided to add smooth gemstones by Hero Arts to the flower centers.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful start to your week.
