All Star High Top!

Another card featuring the fun all star high top die-namics by MFT Stamps.

I created a frame using "Peek a Frame" creative cuts by Mama Elephant.  I didn't have cardstock to match the high top accents so I swiped an ink pad over the white frame and hey presto matchy matchy! with the added bonus of leaving the stitching line white!

Cardstock and white stars from Studio Calico, button by Basic Grey.

Thanks so much for peeking.

All Star!

Firstly - Happy Thanksgiving to all my US based friends and blog readers.
Hope you have a blessed day.

The postie dropped an order from MFT through my letterbox yesterday.  One die and one stamp set was all I ordered but boy is it a beauty!.

I couldn't resist halting production of Christmas cards and creating with this new fun set from the MFT November release.

I am entering for this week's MFT Card Sketch Challenge.  I interpreted a little!!!

Happy 40!

Sharing a card I made recently for a 40th.  Trying to work my way through my Studio Calico Card Kits - mixing them all around - don't think many items from the same kit!  The fun bright coloured doily and patterned paper was from the Penny Arcade Kit.  The white ribbon was from a kit I can't find the name of! and I just love using dymo embossed tape for the sentiment.

Thanks for peeking.

Good Luck!

I know it's not currently exam time but I had this sheet of 6x6 patterned paper sitting on my desk with the sentiment printed on it.  I decided to use it rather than trash it!

I added some twine to the label/tag after I photographed it!

York is off to start his next adventure!

This boy "York" joined our family last year on 21st October - you can see how tiny and adorable he was below.  The photo above was taken last week by his "new" puppywalkers (who are amazing! - long story! but we were blessed with the new family that welcomed him into their lives).  They upload nearly daily photos of his adventures which has let us see him grow and develop into an amazingly, confident dog.  He is starting his next adventure at the end of the month.  He heads off to "big school" where he is going to train to hopefully become a Guide Dog or Assistance Dog/
We wish him and his siblings in the "Y" Litter every success in their training.  If you want to find out more about the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind - check out their website here.
Okay - alert - two more cute puppy photos below!.
Can I go sailing too? I will fit in this bag!
Butter wouldn't melt!!! Yeah right!!!

Our Summer!

Hi there - welcome back to my nearly dormant blog!
Hard to believe that our Summer is over - we enjoyed many evenings like the one above!
We spent a little time on the water!!!! in various locations.
In various types of boats!
We got to catch up with our adorable bundle of joy - York and check out how he is getting on with his wonderful new(ish!) puppywalker.  He goes to "big school"! in December to start his training as a Guide Dog/Assistance Dog.  He has grown A LOT!  Can you tell the boys were thrilled to see him?.

Hope you had a great Summer too.  I hope to visit blogland over the coming week or so to see what everyone has been up to.  I also hope to get back creating (fingers crossed).

Thanks so much for visiting.  Happy Monday!

Time Flies!

Look who we got to play with yesterday afternoon!  Yes, Clarly.  You may remember her from previous posts.

We were lucky enough to spend an hour playing with her in the sand arena at the Irish Guide Dogs yesterday before she heads off to start her life as a Companion Dog.

Did we get a welcome? She definitely didn't forget us in the 6 months she has been in training - she is still full of fun and the boys loved running and playing fetch with her.

I managed to catch a few photos that had less of a blur! She is sitting here waiting for a treat!

Thanks for peeking - I hope you have a great weekend.

Hello!

Well Hello Again - I am not around for ages and then hey presto I'm back!

So glad you stopped by.  This is another card from the Blue Note Card Kit by Studio Calico.  It's a 6x6 card and I just love the colour of this patterned paper and fun striped flower.  I added a large pearl on top and also matted the hello sticker on white cardstock to create a border for extra impact.    The colours aren't great in the photo - grey and dreary here today but it "pops" in real life!

Thanks for peeking.

Hello Friday!

Well Hello Today!  Thank goodness it's Friday!

Sharing a card I made from my Studio Calico - Blue Note Card Kit.  I have only just opened this box and have Copper Mountain waiting patiently.  I am trying to get through one - well at least open them before moving on to the next kit!!!.

It is grey and dreary here today and I took the photo above with my phone - so apologies for the colour!

The big hello die is by Simon Says Stamp and I was layering up white on white cardstock layers until I spotted this card by Laurie Willison which totally inspired me to put in a layer of the tomato red.  So I sandwiched a layer in between three layers top/three layers on the bottom of white.

Challenges
I am entering this into the CASE Study Challenge #175 - the amazing inspiration by Donna Mikasa (below).  My card is inspired by the jaunty angle of Donna's "Hello" and the repetition of the triangles is mirrored by the words on the pp.
and CASology - CONTRAST

Thanks so much for peeking - I hope you have a great weekend.

Where have I been?

Happy New Year to everyone - I know it's the 20th 21st of January - where have I been?
Very good question!.  I was checking out castles last weekend!  Hogwarts anyone?
(it's Adare Manor Hotel really!).

Some pieces of my life in recent weeks - pieces included Lego!.
Sailors back on the water after a three week break - brr brr!
Lots of time with this guy!
Which included monitoring him around the tree!
Don't let this innocent face fool you!  The baubles were for chewing!
It's soup weather here in Ireland - our new favourite is Celeriac and the recipe is from River Cottage - check it out here.

So I have been creating and taking photos but just haven't had a chance to put the photos on my blog/write blog posts.  I promise I will try to share over the coming days.

Hope you are having a good week - thanks so much for stopping by.
