Off to "Big School"!

Quick update on our happenings!.

Our third guide dog puppy - Guy has recently returned to "big school" and is settling in well.  His trainer keeps us updated with news which is greatly appreciated as he has a big place in our hearts.

The above photo was taken on the morning he was returning to Guide Dog Headquarters.  He is sharing a kennel with his sister Ginger.

A future hero in the making.  Thanks for peeking.

Just checking in!

Just checking in!  Sorry - I know I haven't posted here in a while but I have been creating and busy with dog duties!.  Guy continues to grow and is now 8 months old.  He continues to accompany me everywhere and loves being out and about.

He has a very calm personality and adds joy every day.  He had an assessment last week and everything was positive.  As each day passes I really hope he makes it into training and becomes a little hero.   Will keep you posted!

Previous posts here, here and here give some of the background to Guy and the other puppies we have walked for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spring has sprung!

Spring has finally arrived and we have managed to string together some weeks without rain - which is amazing given the Winter we have just experienced.

We took Guy on his first boat trip last Saturday.  He was a trooper - didn't mind his lifejacket (pictured above) and was much more interested in the young sailors taking to the water and his new mode of transport.  So glad he is a water baby!.

I was asked to make a Wedding Card for a couple getting married shortly and I decided shaker + flowers - perfect for a Spring Wedding.
Sorry for the poor quality photo!  Just managed a quick shot.

Thanks for peeking and I hope you are enjoying some sunshine where ever you are.

Guess who is growing!

Guy at 5 months

So as you can see our new addition is growing rather quickly and keeping me very busy.  This photo was taken during February and he will be 6 months next week.

He has a wonderful personality and is very calm given he is still very much a puppy!.

He has settled in and is adored.
This photo I took with my phone after returning from a walk in the rain on Sunday - wet human + wet dog!.

Thanks for peeking - sorry for the puppy overload!

A new addition!

I have been quiet on this blog for the last two weeks as we have a new addition!  Those of you that follow along here know that we have puppy walked for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind in the past.  You can see those stories here and here.

So we are on the puppy walking journey again with a new cutie!  This is Guy (G Litter), he has settled in very quickly and is a joy!.  He is learning fast, is hugely curious and full of beans!.

Pictured above as we set off on a car journey.  Thanks for peeking.

You're Engaged!

Supplies:  Patterned paper - Cirque Card Kit SC, stamp -
Poets Society Card Kit SC, white vellum, sequins and seed
beads, memento black ink, Congrats die cut - Papertrey
ink, pearlescent card and envelope, machine stitching
and photo mount adhesive.

Morning!
So if you have been following along recently you will realise that I am on a mission to work through my stash.  Here is another card using items from two Studio Calico Card kits - Cirque and Poets Society.  I layered up six "congrats" die cuts to create depth - I did sneak two gold layers in the middle!.  My new find is photo mount spray adhesive - makes it sooo easy to layer up those die cuts.

Had to follow the current trend and make this fun shaker card.  I knew it was not going in the mail so the bulk didn't matter.  Tip - the seed beads help the sequins to move around under the vellum.

 Thanks for peeking.

Underground Stamp Kit digital image - SC, happy die, mini alphas - SC,
Pop art card kit - green envelope - SC, copics, adhesive.

New Year's Resolution! - I am trying my best to use up my old card kits from Studio Calico and work my way through my "stash!".  Above is an example of finding some pre cut digital images from SC and pairing with a fun green envelope from a kit and some cardstock for a simple (flat for posting internationally) 50th birthday card.

Super Hero Time!

Patterned paper - SC Galileo Card Kit and sentiment - SC, Superhero digital image -
Whimsie Doodles, Coloured with copices, machine stitching and 6x6 card blank.

Happy New Year to all!
Hope you had a great time with family and friends and are refreshed and looking forward to 2016!.

While doing a "sort through" before Christmas I found this digital image printed and cut out but uncoloured.  I immediately remembered I had a fun boys art card by Ashley Goldberg for Studio Calico that it would pair with and hey presto the above card came to life!.  I have just spent a "little" while going through my digital image files to find where this cute image originated from and I found it in my Whimsie Doodles folder from 2012.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you are enjoying the weekend.
