A Special 70th!

I had to create a special 70th Birthday Card recently and this is what I came up with - a masculine trifold card.

I used the Hero Arts Digital Kit - Sillyscape - printed it numerous times, cut it out, coloured sections, layered it, stamped 70 (digit stamps by Papermania) over one print out, cut out the numbers and coloured them to make the numbers "pop".  I adhered these to the base with foam squares - I forgot to take a side view of it before it was handed over!  The little hedgehog (hedgehopper) in the plane is by Penny Black and I coloured, fussy cut and added glossy accents to the hearts and goggles!.
The world is part of a digital stamp By LORi Designs - the little plane and boat are by PTI.  I coloured with copics and added the dotted line with white gel pen.
Then the full "skyline" was revealed when the card was completely opened.
I printed the message directly onto the clouds background (Hero Arts Digital kit!).
I layered some of the buildings for dimension and added glossy accents to the clock face.  I erased the message on the inside for privacy reasons (hope you understand).

Happy New Year!

Supplies:  Penny Black - Stuck on you stamp set, computer generated sentiment -
font scrubble, copics, Spellbinders star dies, purple cows guillotine, pop dots, black memento ink
and two A6 white card blanks.

Happy New Year everyone - thank you so much for your visits/encouragement and support during 2011.  Let's hope 2012 is fun of fun, laughs, friendships and some papercrafting thrown in for good measure!

It's Paperplay Challenge time again - and this week our theme is "Happy New Year" or as it is a new year we would like to see you create a project with the theme of NEW year/baby/job/house/etc

OR
Use something new from your stash. Now's your chance to show us what Santa brought you :) .  We are very kindly sponsored by Simon Say Stamp.

I created my card by printing the computer generated sentiment directly on to a card blank and a scrap card blank.  I ran the second one through my Big Shot using a star die by Spellbinders.  I also cut additional stars using some smaller dies.  Lots of layers with pop dots to create dimension.  I left the stars plain - was tempted to add some stickles... but decided against it in the end!

My little guys are still on school holidays - so my time at my computer is limited.  I am keeping up to date using my phone but it's not the same for leaving comments!  Normal routine will resume next week.

Challenges
Simon Says Stamp - New Something
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes with "new" as a theme
Color Throwdown - colors

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Check out the other DT creations here.

I know... I know... a blue cat! but maybe she/he got a new "hairdo" for the Summer holidays like a lot of teenagers do now?  Make sense?  Hope so! Cannot believe it is Week 4 of Summer Card Camp already - don't know where the four weeks went.

Ranger fine black embossing powder, Papermania black ink, Papermania gems,
copics, colouring pencils, Stella Rose pp, white gel pen, glossy accents,

A number of months ago I won some PB stamps my friend Kathy Racoosin's blog - The Daily Marker.  I have been half terrified to pull them out and ink them up when I see what AMAZING things she creates with them on a daily basis.

I decided to "bite the bullet" and inked up this cutie for this week's Penny Black Challenge - wet embossing.
I am so glad I did, I had so much fun playing with Betsy Bluebell.
I did some colouring, paper piecing, added embellishments, glossy accents, decorated the inside, the list goes on... and on.... but I had lots of fun.

Thanks so much for peeking and I hope you have a great day/weekend.
