The challenge over on Paperplay today is "Christmas in July".  We are very kindly sponsored by Whiff of Joy and the random winner will receive a stamp from WOJ.

I used a Mother and Child stamp from WOJ to create this holiday card (the stamp isn't necessarily a holiday one - I just decided to repurpose!).

I coloured with copics, matted and layered using holiday papers, ribbon and sentiment sticker from Dear Lizzy and American Crafts - "December Delights"Range.  I adhered the snowflake and buttons to the cardstock using glossy accents!

Another Birthday Card

Supplies:  SRM Sticker, Wine Bottle die - PTI, Circle die - Quickutz, kraft paper -
Canson, machine stitching, card blank - Anita's, pearls - Iconcraft, pop dots,
roller adhesive and glossy accents

I loved using my new PTI die to create the perfect "banner" to add to this card.  The patterned paper is a lovely dark denim colour (looks purple-ish in the photo!!!) and offsets the dark pink.

I added some twists to the flower stemps and adhered them to the card with glossy accents (to be sure they won't budge!).

The final touch was six tiny pearls which I left on the adhesive in sets of three, so they were evenly spaced when I added them to the cardstock.

Thanks for peeking - I really appreciate your visit/comments.

Make a Wish!

Supplies:  pp - Paper Cottage by Basic Grey, Hexagon die - Sizzix,
SRM Sticker, pearls - Iconcraft, machine stitching, Card Blank -
Anita's, Mini open roses in cream and pale pink, glossy accents,
pink cardstock - Canson and tombow adhesive.

I have had my hexagon die for a little while and have been playing with it but never really happy with the results.  I needed to make some Birthday Cards so I got it out and cut some pink hexagons.  They I used this fun new paper from Basic Grey called Paper Cottage collection.  It came in this month's Simon Says Stamp Kit of the Month.
I added flowers from my stash and a scattering of pearls.  The sentiment is a sticker from SRM.

I am entering this into Moxie Fab World - "Hooked on Hexagons Challenge"
and Crop Stop - Hexagon Craze.

Thanks for peeking, I hope you have a great day.

20 days to the Olympics!

and die set - PTI, Wine bottle tag die - PTI, blue cardstock
- Canson, White cardstock - office supplies, pop dots, Woodgrain
embossing folder - Tim Holtz, A6 kraft card blank - Anita's,

Can you believe it?  Only 20 days to the start of the Olympics in London.  The sun is shining - Summer has finally arrived!

I spotted that A Passion for Papertrey were having a fun challenge called "Olympics" and decided to try to squeeze in an entry before the deadline.  I just got my hands on this amazing set from PTI called "Flipping Out" by Melissa J.   A friend from the US who arrived this morning very kindly brought my PTI order over with him... lots of goodies to play with - yipee!!.

I decided to play around with textures and colour and I apologize for the poor photo but the sun is so strong (yipee!) it was washing every photo out and I just didn't have time to play with it!
I added glossy accents to the top of the flip flop to make them like those trendy havaianas flip flops.

Challenges
Crafts 4 Eternity - Olympics

Thanks so much for peeking - hope you have an amazing weekend.

Happy Birthday

Supplies:  LOTV stamp -Pom Pom, SRM Sentiment Sticker, pp's -
Crate Paper Random Collection, Fiskars Upper Crest punch,
machine stitching, Quickutz Circle dies, Anita's card blank,
pink cardstock - Penny Black, Prima pink flowers and white
flowers from stash, colouring pencils, pop dots, tombow
roller adhesive and Diamond Stickles.

Used this fun image "Pom Pom" by LOTV and teamed it with a beautiful sentiment sticker which I bought on sale recently from Simon Says Stamp

This week's challenge on Paperplay is "Happy Birthday!" and we are very kindly sponsored by Simon Says Stamp.  I know I never have enough Birthday cards in my box when needed, so use this opportunity to get creating and maybe win a prize!!!

I used colouring pencils instead of copics on this card for a change!  Used them to put a light wash of colour on the image and added stickles for some fun!
If you are a regular visit to my blog (firstly thank you for stopping by!) and secondly you will know that I am not a gal to use flower embellies very often.  I found these pink prima / anon other in my stash and decided they were perfect paired with the floral pp from Crate Paper.

The Cupboard Trilogy - Colour Palette (a least 3 colours)
Fashionista Challenge - Winged Things
