You are dino-mite! and a digital freebie

Another card share with a digital freebie that I picked up over on SJ's - Little Musings.  This image is called Finn.  Don't you just love Finn in his costume.  I coloured him with copics, added glossy accents on the costumes eyes, distress stickles also added (not very evident in this photo).  The sentiment is from my new Papertrey Ink set - Tiny Treats: Valentine.  Suits the card perfectly.  Since it is a card for a small boy - I added googly eyes as the embellishments.

Sarah Jane just celebrated her 4th blog birthday on the 24th April and has a stunning cupcake freebie available here.  I just adore her images as they come in black and white and pre coloured and her design team make wonderful items as inspiration.

Thanks so much for stopping by - hope you have a wonderful Wednesday.

Paperplay Challenge - "Just Because"

Last year Hero Arts ran a challenge called "Mail It" and this week's Paperplay Challenge is inspired by that theme.

This week I am setting the Paperplay Challenge and I want you to make a card/project - "Just Because".  We have been busy making Valentines, St Patrick's Day Card, Mother's Day ... so this week I want you to make a "just because" card - thinking of you, miss you and send it !

I am sponsoring this week's challenge and am putting up goodies from Hero Arts as the prize.  They include:
Hero Arts Flower Box Cling Stamp CG127
Hero Hues Folded Cards - Daffodil (pack of 10)
Hero Hues Envelopes - Daffodil (pack of 10)
Hero Hues Pearls - Light Yellow CH198
and a selection of Hero Hues Art Flowers and Vintage Collage flowers (pictured above)

Made these super quick cards with Hero Arts Antique Brocade Cling stamp (CG102), prima flowers, white fimo button, embroidery thread, sentiments from Hero Arts and Papermania, Spiced marmalade distress ink and embossing powder, colorbox chalk ink and Hero arts smooth gemstones.  The stamp fits these 4x4 cards just perfectly.

I am also entering these cards into this month's Hero Arts Challenge - "Spring and Easter" as I think they are bright and cheery enough for Spring.

Thanks so much for peeking.  I really do hope that you will play along this week.

Ducks in a Row!

Supplies:  Freebie digital image from Pollycraft, pp by October Afternoon,
fimo button, embroidery floss, copics, textured cardstock from Papermania,
A5 Card blank by Anita's, Martha Stewart border punch, XCut corner rounder and glue dots.

Tales from Pollycraft has this amazing duck image as a digital freebie this week - I just had to share the card I made using it.  I printed if off on Friday and got colouring over the weekend.  I used the new papers from October Afternoon, which I think match perfectly.

I coloured the image with copics and adhered using dimensional adhesive i.e. pop dots.  Also had a large fimo button that I made myself which matched the yellow ducks!

Still not sure if it will be a "Happy Spring" card, "Easter" Card, "New Baby Boy" card... the options are bouncing around in my head.  At the moment it will remain sentiment free and get added to my stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by, please leave a comment as I really do love reading them all.  Happy Tuesday!
