Paperplay - "Anything goes!"
This week's challenge over on Paperplay is set by the fabulous Julie. She has set the challenge - "anything goes!" so it's easey peasey this week!.
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Waltzing Mouse Stamps. Be sure to check out their wonderful shop here and blog here.
I got this wonderful digi by Claire back last March to take part in a hop but unfortunately ran out of time and never managed to use it. So it is the perfect opportunity to showcase her wonderful work. I thought this card would be a lovely good luck card/ wedding card to send someone overseas with an Irish link!
Hope you get a chance to play along with Paperplay this week - remember - "Anything goes!".

Happy Happy Birthday
Quick card share - I made this using one of Paula's wonderful digital images. I cut it out, coloured with copics and added glossy accents to the icing on the cupcake.
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I used Spellbinders Labels 8 and scalloped Circles Large to die cut the Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock. Added various sized gems in pink.
Thanks for peeking and I hope you have a great day.

Another card made with the wonderful digital kit by Jen Martakis called Watercolours. This time I changed out the thread on the sewing machine to match the aqua in the flowers and the cardstock. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and the gems are by Hero Arts. Used the large X-cut corner punch on the sentiment tab.

Paperplay - Colour combo
It's Paperplay time again ... and this week's challenge is a colour combo of blue, cream +1 (one other colour of your choice). This week's challenge is very kindly sponsored by Craft Brulee.
We got some goodies to play with...... some yummy wonderful goodies.... I didn't want to use them! Thanks Jennifer. Craft Brulee are very kindly giving the winner of this week's challenge $10 gift certificate.
Here is what I created - I matched the beautiful flower to some textured Papermania cardstock and matched the stitching on the cardstock to the cream ribbon.
I used a cream card blank, pearls and the wonderful ruffled ribbon that Jennifer sent to me. Sentiment is a sticker from SRM Stickers and some pearls added. My extra colour is the black in the sentiment!
Thanks so much for peeking and I hope you will get a chance to play along this week. Be sure to check out the rest of the DT members creations here.

Flash those Freebies! Pollycraft challenge
Last week Paula of Tales from Pollycraft asked us all to make a card with one of her freebies - here was mine. By posting and linking the card she then sent us this ADORABLE freebie called "Tortoise hugs" via email and this week's challenge is "think green!". I matted and layered this adorable image and paired it with some word art from Create with TLC. Made this as a Birthday card for a friend who celebrates her birthday the end of this month - so I am also entering it into Pollycraft's Monday Challenge - "Happy Birthday".
I am tossing the idea around in my head of adding glossy accents to both of the turtle shells.... am loving glossy accents at the moment!! LOL!!
Paula - hope you are enjoying your Birthday "week".... oh, did I mention.... the next part of the challenge .... Paula is letting us have a choice of digi (any digi!) from her shop... isn't that so kind. Paula - thanks for sharing your wonderful talent and thanks for the wonderful freebies.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope you are having a good week.
Supplies: Digi image from Tales from Pollycraft, Wordart from
Create with TLC, Textured cardstock from Papermania,
Labels 8, CB embossing folder swiss dots, copics and pop dots

Mami Doodles - new digi released & a freebie
Isn't she a cutie? This is Emilia in the corner by Elisa of Mami Doodles. She was released yesterday and is just perfect for those window cards or putting on the edge of a frame. I created a window in my kraft card blank and cut an insert slightly bigger using my Big Shot and stamped it with a Birthday Greeting.
Smooth gemstones by Hero Arts, copics and Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock were the supplies used. Be sure to pop over the Mami Doodles where you can get a link for a wonderful summery digi freebie and a freebie from Team Member Vera.

I do love Fluffy!
Isn't he just the most adorable monster? I have added googly eyes to him (odd shaped and mis matched googly eyes no less!)
I had a batch of these "fluffy's" coloured, so I added him to a card blank with pop dots and added this wonderful sentiment sticker from SRM stickers. Just love these stickers.
Was going to enter it into Paula's challenge this week - if you create a card using one of her freebies you get another freebie emailed to you... how cool is that? Think I bought Fluffy from her shop...oh no!!!!!! will have to make another! Check out the details here.
But I then realised I can enter it into SRM Stickers current challenge - clean and simple. Details here. yipee!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for leaving such lovely comments. Hope you have a great Wednesday.

On the water!
As some of you know I am involved in Cork Week 2010 as Website Editor and the event kicked off last Saturday with the racing starting yesterday in lovely sunshine with some good wind. I went out on the Harbour Course and took some shots - lovely to see blue skies and colourful spinnakers in the harbour.
There was some tight racing in the J/109 Fleet - two boats rounding the top mark by Cobh (pictured above).
This is a photo of the winning J/109 yesterday - Jeroboam skippered by local sailor - Rob O'Leary. Pictured turning the top mark by Cobh (Cobh Cathedral in the background).
I am delighted I managed to get a few hours on the water yesterday as today the weather is grey/gray! and there is a chance of rain!.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day.

Digital Cards - quick and easy!
Sharing two cards today that I made with the kit by the wonderfully talented Jen Martakis called "Watercolours". I printed the images on top of the pp from the kit and added machine stitching around the edges of both cards in co-ordinating colours.
I added stamped sentiment to both and red gems to the first and Hero Arts smooth gemstones to the second.
I hope to visit as many blogs as I can this week - but I know in advance that it will be tough!. I have a lot of website content editing to do for Cork Week!. It started last Saturday and lasts right through until next weekend. So if I am scarce! you will understand why. May even get to share some shots I take from "on the water" this week!.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have had a great weekend and wonderful week ahead.

June CCC
So it's June and this month's Card Chain Challenge very kindly organised again by Deborah is in full swing. This is the card I made to send to my HA Flickr friend, Dream Team team-mate and super talented buddy Fika in Indonesia. It is very daunting sending Fika a card because she creates the most AMAZING creations.... I couldn't even begin to describe her wonderful masterpieces. Be sure to check out her blog here.
I based my card on this month's sketch and also incorporated the theme "Friendship". Fika recently started a new job and I wanted to send her my congratulations.... hence the sentiment.
I hope Fika enjoys my card as much as I enjoyed making it for her.
I received a card from a friend in the HA Flickr Group - Dwita in Indonesia. Look at this wonderful masterpiece - I love it... thanks Dwita. It has sat on my desk next to me since it arrived. I just adore the little girl with her pearl centered flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you fancy receiving/sending a card to somewhere in the world - be sure to check out Deborah's blog for the July CCC sign up - you might just make it for this month. If not.... there is always August!.
