I made this a while ago for a friend to welcome her new Baby Niece into this world.  I paired a pink ribbon with a softer tone of pink to create a contrast (I'm not really a pinky girly girl!).

Thinking of you - Happy World Cardmaking Day 2010

Supplies:  Velvet Flower freebie - Tiffany Doodles, Basic Background v2 digital kit 

by Sande Krieger, pink seed beads, glossy accents, Quickutz cookie cutter circle dies,

Papermania textured cardstock,  ribbon by MemrieMare on Etsy, 

black machine stitching and copics.

Just to let all my cardmaking friends around the world that "I am thinking of you all today" - Happy World Cardmaking Day!. 

I had this wonderful Tiffany Doodles velvet flower freebie left over from another project and wanted to use it.  I could only fit a portion of the flower on the printing page so I had a "piece" rather than a full flower to use.  I coloured it with copics, added glossy accents and pink seed beads.  Then I used background paper from this digital kit, created the sentiment on top in photoshop - printed, added the flower on top and added some of the beautiful distressed ribbon by MemrieMare on Etsy.

I paired it with co-ordinating Papermania textured cardstock and added black machine stitching for added interest.

Waltzingmouse sketch challenge

A quick card share - I saw the sketch this morning over on Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge - and just had to take part.... just made this card.

WMS Stamps - Vintage Labels 2 and Seasons of Love, 

ribbon from MemrieMare on Etsy,  machine stitching, 

fimo button made by me! and some embroidery floss.

I added machine stitching, punching with my new favourite punch - upper crest by Fiskars and stamped the sentiment on kraft in distress ink - peeled paint.
