Off to "Big School"!

Quick update on our happenings!.

Our third guide dog puppy - Guy has recently returned to "big school" and is settling in well.  His trainer keeps us updated with news which is greatly appreciated as he has a big place in our hearts.

The above photo was taken on the morning he was returning to Guide Dog Headquarters.  He is sharing a kennel with his sister Ginger.

A future hero in the making.  Thanks for peeking.

Just checking in!

Just checking in!  Sorry - I know I haven't posted here in a while but I have been creating and busy with dog duties!.  Guy continues to grow and is now 8 months old.  He continues to accompany me everywhere and loves being out and about.

He has a very calm personality and adds joy every day.  He had an assessment last week and everything was positive.  As each day passes I really hope he makes it into training and becomes a little hero.   Will keep you posted!

Previous posts here, here and here give some of the background to Guy and the other puppies we have walked for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Thanks for stopping by.

Spring has sprung!

Spring has finally arrived and we have managed to string together some weeks without rain - which is amazing given the Winter we have just experienced.

We took Guy on his first boat trip last Saturday.  He was a trooper - didn't mind his lifejacket (pictured above) and was much more interested in the young sailors taking to the water and his new mode of transport.  So glad he is a water baby!.

I was asked to make a Wedding Card for a couple getting married shortly and I decided shaker + flowers - perfect for a Spring Wedding.
Sorry for the poor quality photo!  Just managed a quick shot.

Thanks for peeking and I hope you are enjoying some sunshine where ever you are.
