Happy Mother's Day

Supplies:  HA H3257 Real Salvia stamp, glitter butterfly from Cathy Fong,
PTI sentiment, Papermania gems, pp We R Memory
Keepers Hippity Hoppity Range, machine stitching,
Carson orange cardstock, pop dots, Faber Castell PITT
artist pen big brush.

Did you see the recent video that Jennifer McGuire showed us the new Faber Castell Big Brush markers?  Check it out here.  I was very kindly given two to try out/demo.... and I must admit I love them.  I used the black one here on the Hero Arts Real Salvia stamp which I inked up and stamped on white cardstock.  I added colour to the stamped image by using pale green gems and a glitter butterfly.

I really liked the result and see myself buying more of these to "play" with!   Jennifer - stop enabling!! LOL!!!
Entering this into this month's Hero Arts Challenge.

Thanks for peeking, hope you are having a great weekend.

Spellbinders star and heart dies, Dark Chocolate cardstock from PTI,
machine stitching, docrafts A6 kraft card blank and Basic Gray buttons.

and then I was on a roll!!! and loved what Jennifer McGuire created here, so I made this
Supplies:  docrafts A6 kraft card blanks, Hero Arts digital kit - Winged friends
and Flutterbies, page from english/french dictionary, sentiment by
Papertrey Ink, Tea Dye distress ink and Tim Holtz Ink blending tool.

You would never guess that I think these ladies are just ultra talented and create amazing things!.  I was so thrilled recently when my LSS - Cardz 'n Scrapz got bulk packs (different sizes) of wonderful kraft in stock - if you live in Ireland and up to now couldn't get kraft.... check it out here.

Birthday Card - Thinking Inking

Supplies:  Jillibean Soup Kraft card blank, PTI Blooming Button Bits
- flower, leaves and sentiment.  Colorbox Pigment Ink in Eggplant, Versacolor ink - Sage,
Clear embossing powder, doodlebug gems and vintage white buttons from Nancy

Okay... I have been cleaning my house all morning and have taken a quick break!!!  Have guests arriving from out of town tomorrow... so have to get the place ship shape.

I stamped the flower in eggplant, leaves in sage then coated in clear ep - used my heat tool and then put it straight back into the ep, did several layers to get a high shine/thick layer of embossing on the flowers and on the leaves.  This is what Jennifer McGuire did with her roses on this week's thinking inking too.  I cut out and adhered to a kraft card blank.  Added stitching with emboidery floss to the wonderful vintage buttons that Nancy sent me (Thank you Nancy) and added gems to one card.

Created the box around the card with a eggplant coloured gel pen.  Thanks so much for peeking.. have to go back to the cleaning!

Check out the wonderful 2peas class - Thinking Inking right here for amazing inspiration from Jennifer McGuire.  Have a fun day!

Card Drive cards and digital freebie

My DS turns 6 today and while this isn't his Birthday Card - I decided to share a "boy" card today.  These  are cards I made for Jennifer McGuire's Card Drive for Kids.  If you don't know anything about it and are interested - I posted here about it.

The image is by Maurie J Manning aka Mo - and I won it in one of her recent Challenges - thanks Mo.  Just the perfect image for those boy cards!  I coloured it with copics, added glossy accents to the helmet.  I used Glitz distressing background stamps on the red deckle edged card which I clear embossed and added chipboard stickers and hey presto... card done!  Mo's images are available here and she very kindly gives out freebies to her Paper Craft Planet members occasionally too - join up here (or to her SNR Card Universe if you are a member there).

I also made this one using a Little Musings Image - by SJ.  She does freebies on Fridays and I picked up this image called "Finn" to play with.  I coloured him with copics and added glossy accents to the eyes.  Used the same stamp for the background but just stamped with versamark ink.  Sentiment from Hero Arts set.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday... mine will be Astro boy filled!!!!

Inspired by Jennifer McGuire

After watching Jennifer McGuire's (she is just a genius) video on butterfly colouring and seeing the amazing sets she made for her MIL for Christmas and then seeing Vanessa's cards with butterflies appear in the Hero Arts Flickr Pool and on her blog... I decided I wanted to have a go....  So last night I printed off lots of butterflies from the Hero Arts Digital set available here at twopeasinabucket.com and started colouring.

Here are a few of my finished butterflies/flutterbies!!!!  I just adore colouring - I feel like I am 5 again.  Cutting out... not so much!!! - hence one sheet underneath yet to cut!  I am going to add some stickles and embellishments to some of them and then do the remaining cutting out - in between making dinner!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a day filled with colour and joy.
