This card started out life as a St Patrick's Day card! At least that was what it was going to be in my head!  

I got a little diverted by the Hero Arts stamp set (below) that arrived from Simon Says Stamp on Friday morning and hey presto - a Mother's Day card was born!.  I won the set recently on SSS - part of their National Craft month celebrations.

I used the wonderful Hero Arts Skyland Birds digi kit for this card - the birds had been cut out and were sitting on my desk waiting to be used!  Came across this wonderful pp that Lucy Abrams had sent to me in some blog candy I won, well over a year ago.  I decided to colour the birds and put a card together.

orange felt, PTI flower dies, Jane Beljo fimo button, clear sequins, 

embroidery floss and copics.

A quick share today - I made this up whilst making my Lily Pad Cards blog hop card (here) but decided to put acetate inside the window and convert it to a shaker.  Was going to fill with goodies but some of the Moms/Grandmas are off choccies for Lent.  So added some sequins instead.  My little helper was fantastic at this part (he was home sick from school).

Used some fun orange felt and my PTI flower dies and a Jane Beljo fimo button to finish it off.

My second card is the one for my Mom.
