Fun Encouragement Card - we're behind you all the way!

Supplies:  Digi by stretchnbubbles, white card blank by docrafts,
Fiskars upper crest punch, grey cardstock by papermania, scor-pal and copics

I don't know if you are like me and have lots of digital images printed onto beautiful cardstock waiting to be coloured and used on cards!.  I have stacks - some coloured and some not!
I decided to try and wade through my stack and make some quick cards.

I was dying to try my new Scor-Pal (a huge thank you to Diana Crick who sponsored a prize over on Help for Katie which I won).
I decided to try a new fun fold and also added punched borders to it.

This card is in support of Lily Pad Cards who are "sneak peeking" today with a blog hop....be sure to check it out!  It's a lot of fun!  You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter and there are LOTS of prizes.

Thanks for peeking.  Hope you have a great day.

Shoes Card!

Happy Saturday!  I think this was the digital image that got me hooked on Alison Spelman's images over on Stretch n Bubbles.  I saw it back in October 2009 - it was a freebie then and this is the first time I have used it.  Love the sentiment - "give a girl the correct footwear and she can conquer the world... " - as a shoe lover.... so true!  LOL!!
Printed it out on cardstock, coloured with copics, rounded the corners and mounted on kraft with pop dots.  Added stickles to the stripy tights and glossy accents to the grey shoes (not clearly evident in the photo).

Thanks so much for peeking... remember Alison does freebies on Fridays!!! and also has another site - Free Digital stamps - be sure to check it out.

Just had to share this card with you.  It is the freebie image from Stretch n Bubbles this week.  Another amazing image by Alison Spelman.  I just laughed out loud when I saw it.  I plan on using it as a Congratulations Card but it could also double up as an Encouragement Card.

Vanessa is having a giveaway - as she reached 30,000 hits... Amazing right!  So she has some beautiful candy on offer - go check it out here

Another Christmas Card Share and Caardvarks Entry

Another entry for the current Caardvarks challenge.  This digital image is from Alison Spelman over on StretchnBubbles.  She has a freebie digital image every Wednesday - so be sure to check out her blog/store

I used a gold pearlescent tall card blank, - love the shimmer off the card.  Stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts Holiday Sayings set and stazon ink.  Used Alison Spelman's Unity Image and I coloured/shaded with copics and promarkers.

Just a simple card which I am going to make a few of to send out shortly.  My card sending is WAY BEHIND!  Off to start writing Christmas cards.  Thanks for stopping by.

End of the week - Happy Friday Card!

Well thankfully the sun shone here today but most of all there was no rain, which is quite important given that much of the City is under water!.  Floods have damaged a huge area and there is more rain forecast for tomorrow, I am thankful we live on the top of a hill and are safe.

I think Alison Spelman's digital images are darling (StretchnBubbles) and this was the freebie from last week - "Jillyan & Kit".  She is sponsoring the Paperplay Challenge this week and the winner gets 4 free digital images from her store.

Supplies - Jillyan & Kit digital image from StretchnBubbles,
PP by K&Co Carolyn Gavin, Textured cardstock by Papermania, Ribbon by Anita's,
Sentiment Message Tag by Daisy & Dandelion, coloured with promarkers and copics,
white gel pen and machine stitching.

I didn't have time to make a card before the sun went down, so I had to take this shot with my flash.  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

"Read all about it" - this week's Paperplay Challenge

A new Paperplay Challenge this week - Week 42 set by DT Member Julie.  It is entitled "Read All About It!!".  She wants you to use some form of booktext - for example: vintage booktext, script background stamp or newspaper text.

This week our sponsor is Alison Spelman. Alison has recently set up her own digi image store and is offering 4 free images to the winner.  Alison also offers a free digi image each Wednesday on her blog so make sure to go check it out. Click here to check out her store/blog.

Sneak Peek - scroll down to see the completed card

I used one of Alison's images - "cowfarm" to create my card.  When I saw it, I just laughed... so fun!.  I decided to print the image twice, colour it and adhere it with dimensional adhesive i.e. pop dots, foam pads.   I used promarkers to colour him with some white gel pen highlights.  I added a page from a vintage french/english dictionary under his arm (it actually is the page that includes "turkey!").  I also printed off turkey facts from the internet and made them into columns to look like newspaper print before ageing with Tim Holtz tea dye distress ink.  Hope you like him!

Supplies: Digital "cowfarm" image from StretchnBubbles, promarkers, white tall card blank,
machine stitching, foam pads, white gel pen, vintage dictionary page

Hope you play along.  Happy Thursday - thanks for stopping by.
