Miss Me?

Miss me?  Last week was spent enjoying the February sunshine (when it broke through the clouds) and lots of fresh air (here you read - wet, windy and blustery conditions!).
161 Optimists took part in a Spring Training Week and took to the water each day like little ducklings! I took some shots with my phone and processed them through instagram.

Interested in improving your photo skills with your phone?  Check out Nicoles Classes post about the best iphone editing apps right here.

The Optimist is a single handed sailing dinghy for children up to the age of 15.  It is one of the most popular sailing dinghies in the world!.
Here is a photo of the first ten launched early one morning in a bay full of calm!  The previous day had a steady 25/27 knots of breeze!

Now that the boys are sailing I wonder will I get a chance to do more of it?... or will I be watching like a mother duck from the top of the pier/side of the slipway?

Thanks for peeking - hope you are having a great week.

Thank You Bunches!

Supplies: 6x6 "Ginger" papers by My Mind's Eye,
Ruby Red Cardstock by Bazzill, Sentiment Stickers - Jillibean Soup,
Velvet Flowers by Maya Road, pop dots - Stick it!,
pearls in assorted sizes and machine stitching.

Happy Valentine's Day and thank you bunches for stopping by my blog today.

In fact, thank you for stopping by every day I post and leaving sweet comments - I really appreciate them.  So hence a "thank you" from me to you on this "Heart" day.

I don't know if you are like me or not.... too much stash, not enough time!.

I decided to dig into my Simon Says Stamp Card Kits and get creating!  This card was made using supplies from the August 2012 Card Kit.

I just adore the velvet flowers - I adhered some to the pp using glossy accents and others with pop dots for dimension.

Thanks so much for peeking.

Love Rocket!

Supplies:  Love Rocket Digi Stamp - Jane Beljo (Squigglefly),
Washi Tape - prima, copics, orange cardstock - Folia, computer
generated sentiment - font Sketch Rockwell, pop dots
and roller adhesive (stick it!).

A clean and simple card using a paper piecing technique with washi tape on a digital image!.

I ever so gently placed the washi down on the printed image and drew the lines on the washi with a permanent marker, then ease the washi off the image, cut and replace onto the image.

This can be a valentine without a hint of pink or red!!!!

Challenges
The card was inspired by "The Remarkable Rocket" - A Fairytale by Oscar Wilde so I am entering it into this week's challenge on CASology.
