Surprise card shower for Jenny & Jason

Supplies:  DCWV embossed card blank, Waltzing mouse Stamp Vintage Labels,
various sized Papermania gems, Papermania sheer white ribbon, Trinket pin,
pop dots and computer generated sentiment.

Today, one of our wonderful Hero Arts Hostess' over on Flickr - Jenny is getting married to Jason.  Tami Hartley devised a "special mission" of a Virtual Wedding Card Shower for them.  So we are posting cards congratulating Jenny & Jason on their wedding today the 10-10-10.  The cards will all have the tag "weddingwishes4jenny" so that Jenny can see them when she returns from honeymoon.

Isn't that fun?  Above is what I created.  I used an embossed card blank from DCWV that spells out LOVE and added the details on top.

Hope you all have a fabulous day - thanks for stopping by.   Congratulations to Jenny and Jason.

Don't know if you have been following the new challenge over on The Greeting Farm blog.  They are calling it the Royal Battle.  I am on a team with........ big fanfare please..... the wonderful and talented Fika and Kathy... yes, only in my dreams did I ever think that I would be on a team with these gifted ladies... so the team name is ... you guessed it... The Dream Team.  Voting has started - so if you are on a team and like our card... (have just discovered that ANYONE AND EVERYONE CAN VOTE!!!) we would love if you voted for us.  I believe there are 60 or so teams with over half "bowing out" of the battle this week!.... our card is here and to vote you need to leave a comment.

The Challenge was to create a Retro-esque type card with this photo as the colour inspiration.
I got the job of making the card this week with lots of wonderful input from my fantastic team mates.  Thank you so much Kathy and Fika for making it a fun week.

I have my fingers and toes crossed that we get to the next round of Royal Battle!!!  I had a great birthday weekend and our out of town guests have just left.  We did fun sight seeing and tourist things and I will post a few photos over the coming days.  Thanks again for the wonderful best wishes.

The wonderful and creative Donna is having a giveaway on her blog - she made stunning little canvas flowers and one lucky commenter will receive one pack of sticky backed canvas by Claudine Hellmuth and the Hero Arts dot background cling stamp - you have until the 2nd April to leave a comment.  So why don't you drop by right now here

Birthday Celebrations

Just sharing a Birthday Card I made for my Birthday "twin" - who celebrates her Birthday today too.  Although she is a few years younger than me.... boohoo!!!!  She is on a plane over the Atlantic as I type and I will get to see her tomorrow as she is visiting Ireland for the first time with her parents and brother.

The image is from Sassy Cheryl - just love it.  It is a freebie called "Sassy Grace" available over on her Paper Craft Planet Group.  I coloured with copics and the card blank is from Dovecraft.

Off to enjoy the sunshine and enjoy the rest of the day.  Will do some blog candy in the next week or so... so make sure to drop by again.  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Another card for your Special Day

Made this very simple card with the new Papermania Linen Papers on cream cardstock base.  Stamped the frame and sentiment on cream cardstock, added the Papermania ribbon then cut out the frame and adhered using pop dots.  Added a few gems for the "sparkle"!

Happy Sunday - another freebie from an amazing site!

I just love it when I come across a site that has amazing digital images and does a freebie day too!!! Well I stumbled upon one yesterday - a very talented lady - Paula of Pollycraft Designs and her blog is Tales from Pollycraft - the freebie for this week is here it is called Cherry Kisses Frame ~ Adore.  Paula does freebies every FRIDAY - be sure to check it out.

I just had to make a card with it right away.  I used an embossed square card blank from DCWV and added the frame to an orange mat and handdrew the line to match the frame.  Coloured with copics, added a gem and hey presto! another Valentine's Card.

Then I found another freebie image called lovebirds on the site- so I made this card which could also be an Engagement Card - I left it free of a sentiment for the moment.

Supplies - Freebie images from Pollycraft, Copics, Labels One, Trinket Pins by Maya Road,
Brown Ribbon from Morex Corp, pp from Jane, (thanks Jane), Papermania Gem used in the card above and foam dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you are having a good weekend.

Birthday Card

Have been playing with some of my Christmas presents! my new nesties - Scalloped Circles (large) and Labels 8 oh... and my copics too!.  Made this card using the 6x6 papers from Cosmo Cricket, the boyfriend range and the butterfly from Hero Arts Butterflies Clings.  Decided to play around with bending the sentiment to follow the shape of the circle.  I added some stickles to each of the dots on the butterfly wings for that little bit of sparkle.

Supplies - Hero Arts Butterfly Clings set, Senitment from Hero Arts Birthday Frames, Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend Range,
Spellbinders Scalloped Circles Lge and Quickutz Nesting Circles, Copics, Papermania gems and stickles.

I used gems from Papermania to accent the Hero Arts sentiment.  I know I am going to get lots of use out of these Spellbinders sets.

Thanks so much for stopping by and any comments you might like to leave.  My inlaws are coming for dinner so have to dash and make some food!  Have a great weekend.

Another Christmas Card share

Made this card using the beautiful stamped image that Jane sent me.  Just adore this image by CC Designs.  Thanks so much Jane.  I coloured it with colouring pencils, cut it out and added it to the base with pop dots, the background paper is from Making Memories - Just Chillin' range, the lime green paper is some origami paper that I picked up years ago and has been floating around in my stash and it is matted on textured cardstock from Papermania.  The little stars are gems from Papermania too.

Supplies - Swiss Pixie by CC Designs, pp by Making memories,
misc and Papermania, gems by Papermania and misc brads.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by.
