Bounce! Card with a bookmark

Last Friday Paige set a fresh challenge on the Create Blog (formerly CARDS blog) to make a card with a pocket.  I immediately got to work and created a card incorporating a bookmark into the front.
Supplies: WOF digital image - spider henry, wordart from create with TLC,
Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock in olive green and blue, Copics Blue B24,
Orange E08 and Olive Green YG95

I decided to use a Whiff of Joy image I got as a freebie - "Spider Henry" a while ago and pulled out some copics and set to work!.  Pop over to Whiff of Joy - I think Spider Henry may still be there!!.  I paired him with Paulette's wonderful Word Art from Create with TLC

I stitched some acetate onto some dotted swiss cardstock, layered it on top and machine stitched blue dotted cardstock and added co-ordinating ribbon to the top.  (After I took the photo I added two small glass beads to the ends of the ribbon for weight - but I'm afraid I didn't retake the photo!).

Imagine my delight to see my card feature on the CREATE blog last night...woohooo! Doing the happy dance.  Thanks so much for stopping by and feel free to leave me a comment so I know that you stopped by.  I will try to get back to visit everyone's blog over the weekend.  Happy Friday!

Paperplay - "in stitches"

Supplies:  Stitchy Bear Digi Stamp - Dino, Cosmo Cricket pp -DeLovely range,
Copics, gem,  DL Card blank and faux stitching with pens.

This week's Paperplay challenge is set by the wonderfully talented Heather and it is to add stitching to your card/project.  It can be hand, machine, faux or stamped stitching!.

We are again very kindly sponsored this week by Stitchy Bear Stamps.  I used this wonderful digital image called Dino available here.

I added faux stitching in black and pink on my card as my sewing machine has been going a little nuts and eating the paper!  I added a wonderful free Wordart sentiment from Create with TLC.

Thanks for peeking and I hope you get a chance to play along this week.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Cheers,   Deirdre

Paperplay - Recipe!

This week's challenge on Paperplay is set by Jan and it is a recipe - use two dp's, 3 flowers, 1 ribbon and a charm.  This week's challenge is very kindly sponsored by Stitchy Bear Stamps and they gave us some very cute images to play with.  Thanks so much.

I used this cute bunny - "bunny blu" which is available here.  I coloured him to match my Cosmo Cricket papers and used some Papermania sheer ribbon, three DCWV flowers in shades of orange and word art from Create with TLC.  Okay... so here it is... I don't actually own any charms to go on my card... so I put a brad on one of the flowers instead... so technically it's not right... so I haven't followed the recipe correctly.... so .... slap on hand... I beg your forgiveness!!!!

Hope you get a chance to play along this week - hope to see you over on Paperplay!.

"Fluffy" and some Word Art

I just can't get enough of this amazing image by Paula over on Tales from Pollycraft.  She very kindly does wonderful freebies on Fridays.  This guy is "Fluffy", one of her Critters out of her "Critters and Cogs" Range of digital stamps.  As soon as I saw him I had to dash over and buy him 'coz he is just sooooo much fun.

I paired him with a freebie Word Art sentiment from Create with TLC.  You can find it here.  Paulette just creates the most amazing fun Word Art pieces.  Don't know about you but I have the perfect person to send this too....  LOL!!!  I kept it very simple as I think Fluffy and the sentiment do all the work!.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
