I always cringe when I see a lace challenge - I don't know why but it is waaaay outside my comfort zone.  I picked up a couple of sheets of this fun banner paper by My Mind's Eye in Cork Art Supplies recently and decided to use it for this challenge.

A quick share today - using up some scraps with lots of embossing, punching and dies!  I had fun with this one.  I paired hot pink and orange and added a little aqua to the mix!

Tea Dye Distress ink and blending tool

I used Christmas Present Luka and the wonderful Christmas Tree Die to create this card.  I inked the edges of all the patterned papers (Kaisercraft) and tree with tea dye distress ink.  I popped Luka on top with pop dots for added dimension. 

As you can see I had lots of fun creating with these amazing stamps and dies.

I wanted to showcase how amazing the new dies are - so above is a card featuring the Christmas Tree die that I reckon you could mass produce (maybe with less machine stitching) for your holiday cards!

Baby Boy

Not very happy with how this photographed - hard to believe that I took this photo in daylight!!!  It's only September and already the quality of light on this side of the world isn't wonderful.  The background paper is a dark blue but looks grey in this photo.

Used "Sweet Pea Levi" fun baby image By Lori Designs - I cut it using my guillotine to resemble an old polaroid.  I coloured and added a sticker from the Lime Twist collection by My Minds Eye.

Added the buttons with glossy accents so they are "cemented" to the card.

This was a difficult one to make because I made the front before I decided to turn it into an easel card!!!  I know, completely backwards!

I then did lots of measuring and playing with grey cardstock until I was happy with how it stood.  I used a Basic Grey button (which I threaded) and adhered to the cardstock with glossy accents.

I matted the coloured image to grey cardstock and layered it using pop dots for added dimension.

La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday - Flowers

Happy Happy Friday!  So excited today has arrived and I can share with you all!

A number of month's ago the amazingly talented Sandie Dunne contacted me - (she is one of the DT Leaders for La-La Land Crafts) and asked would I like to Guest Design for the month's of September/October.  Would I what!!!!  Work with amazing stamps by the ultra talented Irina! ABSOLUTELY!

 I created dimension on Rose Faerie Marci's dress by colouring a second image and layering it using pop dots and also added tiny pearls to the skirt.  I decided to use Autumnal colours on my card (My Minds Eye "Ginger" patterned paper and cork run through my Big Shot complete the colour palette).
