Paperplay - For A Mom/Mum

Supplies:  pp by MME - Stella Rose, Digital image - Pure innocence,
Bazzill Basics kraft cardstock, copics, glossy accents, AC Thickers,
white gel pen, Paperchase black ribbon, staple and pop dots.

This week on Paperplay Challenges the new challenge is "For A Mom/Mum" - this can be anything from a card/project for your own Mom, a new Mom, Mother's Birthday, Mother's Day - lots of choice on this.

I made a card using this wonderful digi by Heather Ellis - Pure Innocence.  I coloured and added glossy accents to the heart.  Hard to see the other colours on the image as I was trying to colour onto kraft.  Added American Crafts thickers and to lighten them a little I added dots with a white gel pen.

Hope you get to play along with us this week on Paperplay.  We are very kindly sponsored by Inky Impressions.  Be sure to check out the full deets and other DT members creations right here.

Challenges
Stamping for the Weekend - For Mum/Mother's Day
Craft your Days Away - For Mum or a special lady
ECP - For Mum
House of Gilli - Ribbon & Pearls
Wee Memories - Anything goes
Hope you have a great day.

March CCC

Managed to sign up for Deborah's Card Chain Challenge again this month... woohoo!!!! and I got to send a card to Cathy

She had a fun palette....
and a fun sketch
and fun themes

April Fool's Day  OR
Friendship  OR
 Act Happy week (March 21st)

So I mixed them together and came up with this!
I did a version of the sketch, with one colour from the palette.... okay... so it's a mish mash... but I like how it turned out.

I also created this card for Sheila as my November CCC card never made it to her.  Hopefully this one will make it to it's destination!

Thanks for peeking.  You really need to go to Deborah's blog to check out all the cards in this month's Card Chain Challenge on April 2nd.

Thanks so much for stopping by - hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

Hope you have a blessed day.

Happy Birthday to Kellie

Supplies:  Digi by Christy Croll, Tiddly Inks, aqua cardstock
by Canson, kraft card blank by Papermain, pp by , MS loopy
border punch, BG Button - Jovial range,
embroidery floss, copics and glossy accents.

When the wonderfully talented Christy Croll of Tiddly Inks looked for volunteers recently to make a card - I jumped at the chance.  It was a surprise for her college friend Kellie who was turning 40.  Christy sent me the image above with some zipped files that I never opened.... just opened them to find a girly image... oopppsss!

Well, I'll just have to make more cards with the other image!  I adored this one that was attached to the end of her email - I printed it on kraft and only coloured the balloon.  Then added a thick layer of glossy accents on top.

Machine stitched everything!, matted and layered, punched, inked and distressed with Tim Holtz's magic distressing tool and hey presto!  Gone off in the post to Christy for her friend's surprise.

Also created one for Christy (same image - different take!)
Supplies:  Digi by Christy Croll, Tiddly Inks, kraft card
blank by Papermain, pp by BasicGrey, I rock heat setting
tool and pearls, red ribbon, Making Memories packaging
tape, Tim Holtz distressing tool, machine stitching,
white gel pen and glossy accents.

Happy Birthday to Kellie.  Thanks for stopping by ... hope you have a great day/weekend.

Paperplay - Embossing

Supplies:  Meljen's Designs digital image - "Kitty Cat Love", Black and Kraft cardstock,
Papermania red textured cardstock, machine stitching, SRM Sentiment sticker,
Papermania sheer ribbon, Quickutz cookie cutter circle dies, Big Shot,
Tim Holtz embossing folder and machine stitching.

Have to start off this post by wishing everyone a very Happy St. Patrick's Day.  It is a holiday here in Ireland today so everyone gets to celebrate.  Hopefully going to the parade later today.

Paperplay Challenge time again - this week the Challenge is to use embossing on your card/project.  It can be dry embossing or heat embossing - the choice is yours.

I had fun with this cute "Kitty Cat Love" digital image from our sponsor - Meljen's Designs.  I printed and cut out the image using a circle die, then used a kraft knife to cut out around the cat tails and add to the top of the red brick wall! (dry embossing using one of Tim Holtz embossing folders).

Added stitching, an SRM sticker, some ribbon and hey presto.... my card.  I think this is an ideal Anniversary Card.    Be sure to check out all the other DT creations here.

pearls, Paperchase Ribbon, machine stitching, DCWV textured black card blank
and pebbles glitter chipboard frame.

This week's challenge on Paperplay is Shabby Chic/Vintage.  So not my normal style!!!!!!

I dug out some wonderful patterned papers by Websters Pages and got creating. Wanted to add flowers but only had orange ones and I think they may have clashed!!! LOL!

A touch of sparkle! and welcome March

Supplies: Bazzill dotted swiss cardstock, We R Memory
Keepers Hippity Hoppity 12x12 Paper pack, Anita's A6 cardblank,
Pebbles glittered chipboard shapes, BG rub on from greeting card kit, adhesive.

Wooohoooooo Welcome March!  Some March related lore ....

If March comes in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb!
A dry March and a wet May? Fill barns and bays with corn and hay.
As it rains in March so it rains in June.
March winds and April showers? Bring forth May flowers.

Quick share today.  I decided to try something a little different and applied a rub on to a glittered chipboard heart.  It worked!!!  I adore all the glitter on the paper in this wonderful pp by We R Memory Keepers.  It was begging to be played with!

Thanks so much for stopping by - hope you have a wonderful day.
